Yoga Ananda Yoga Shala owner and former WITS artist, Maria Merrill, and WITS Development Associate Gayatri Parikh, are co-teaching a yoga and creative writing workshop for adults on Saturday, December 7th.  50% of the proceeds of this workshop will benefit WITS! Find your Flow: A Creative Writing and Yoga Workshop
(Team taught by Gayatri and Maria)
Saturday Dec. 7th
2-4:30pm
Cost: $35
Early bird Discount: $25 (Sign up before Nov. 29th)
Discover vibrant creativity through this fun workshop designed to bring you into the present moment through play, where you can express your most authentic self! This afternoon of fun and games will explore your imagination through movement, breath and writing. Whether you consider yourself a writer, want to get your creative juices flowing, or want to bring more space into your yoga practice, this workshop is for you!
Please Note: 50% of all proceeds from this workshop will benefit Writers in the Schools (WITS), an organization that engages underserved children in the pleasure and power of reading and writing. (WITS is a fabulous organization!)
Gayatri has taught writing at UofH Writing Center, HCC, ELS at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and is currently a grant writer for WITS. Gayatri believes writing is a gift that can help us find and trust our own voices. A yogi of 10 years and a certified Kids yoga teacher, Gayatri marvels at yoga’s ability to help us find the present moment and express ourselves to the world powerfully and authentically.
